Thank you for visiting our website. I hope you’ll take a look around and learn more about our mission and the value we place on our goal of “making the invisible visible”.
A crucial first step to achieving this goal was to educate the extended community about the presence of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through our vacation program we have taken thousands of groups on supervised vacations to over half the states in the U.S. and more than a dozen countries throughout the world – providing community based experiences to more than 2,000 individuals with developmental disabilities annually. This would not have been accomplished without the dedication of the many compassionate and fun-loving sprout staff and leaders. This committed network of people, who have given so much in the service of others, continues to inspire me and has established Sprout as a force for change in this field.
Through our various film programs we are expanding the use of film as a tool to enlighten, entertain and empower. Our partnership with The Arc helps us continue to reach larger audiences across the U. S. with our catalogue of films, as we educate and inspire communities and continue “making the invisible visible”.
Since our founding in 1979 we have accomplished much, however it is my sincere hope for the future that we will continue to develop and improve our services while creating new, exciting and innovative programming.
